OmniEngine WorkGroup 5
Distributed 24/7 Network Analyser and Monitor

The OmniEngine Workgroup extends the analytical reach of OmniPeek Workgroup by providing remote network analysis for small businesses and workgroup environments. Up to 2 OmniEngines can be used in the Workgroup environment. The only limitation in the OmniEngine Workgroup is that it does not provide support for data capture on Gigabit networks or WAN segments.
Also available in packs of 3,5 and 10.

OmniPeek Workgroup 5
Portable Network Analyser and OmniEngine Console

OmniPeek Workgroup is a full-featured, stand-alone network analysis tool. This product is ideal for consulting engineers who solve network problems for others, or for small businesses or remote offices where analysis is confined to a small number of interfaces, with no highspeed (Gigabit or WAN) links and a limited number of employees on the network. OmniPeek Workgroup can collect network data from a single interface or can be used with up to 2 OmniEngines (OmniEngine Workgroup) to form a distributed network analysis solution spanning a larger, or multi-location office.

omnipeekOmniPeek Workgroup Pro 5
Portable Network Analyser and OmniEngine Console

OmniPeek Workgroup Pro expands the capabilities of OmniPeek Workgroup, extending its reach to all small businesses and corporate workgroups, regardless of size of the network or the number of employees. OmniPeek Workgroup Pro provides support for multiple network interfaces while still supporting up to 2 OmniEngines (OmniEngine Workgroup), acting as both a full-featured network analyser and a console for remote network analysis. There is also no limit to the number of network flows that can be analysed, so groups of any size can be supported. The OmniPeek Workgroup Pro also supports the Enhanced Voice Option.

To deploy and maintain a successful Voice over IP (VoIP) implementation, you need to be able to analyse and troubleshoot voice traffic and the network the voice traffic is running on. You need to be able to understand how other applications are affecting voice traffic – and vice versa.

WildPackets Enhanced Voice Option – available for OmniPeek Enterprise and OmniPeek Workgroup Pro – provides users with the visibility and analysis they need in order to keep VoIP applications and non-voice applications running optimally on the network. Through the Enhanced Voice Option, users gain access to a wealth of detailed call quality statistics, graphical representations of the voice traffic and detailed diagnostic information. Specific signaling and call playback capabilities complete the enhanced VoIP analysis capabilities.

How do Media VoIP Analysis and Enhanced Voice Option differ?

In OmniAnalysis v4.0.1, Media VoIP Analysis has been added to the Expert in all Workgroup and Enterprise products in order to perform subjective quality MOS scores and diagnostic information for RTP flows of VoIP traffic. The Enhanced Voice Option adds a tremendous amount of additional information about quality scores, as well as specific signaling and call playback capabilities that are critical for pinpointing the specific causes of voice quality degradation.

Features & Benefits

Real-Time Troubleshooting and VoIP Call Summary
OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option is the only network analyser offering Ethernet, Wireless, Gigabit, WAN and VoIP diagnostics in real-time. The Expert view provides in-depth analysis of latency, throughput and numerous network problems in a conversation-centred display. Many of the test elements have user-defined settings and thresholds, allowing you to fine-tune the Expert System to suit your network environment. For VoIP, OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option can analyse up to 100 open calls simultaneously - without requiring any expensive voice processing hardware - providing unsurpassed capacity for post-deployment troubleshooting. In addition to VoIP decodes and analyses, OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option also evaluates and displays the call setup mechanism, in real-time, for each open call. All active and closed calls in a capture are shown in an elegant summary screen. Single line per call provides easy, single-click drill down statistics for detailed troubleshooting.

VoIP Signaling Analysis

OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option supports multiple VoIP signaling protocols including SIP, H.323, MGCP, Megaco, SCCP (Skinny v3.0.3), NCS, TGCP, SIPT, C-SIP and more. OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option associates all the signaling (including RTCP status reports) and voice streams (RTP) on a per call basis and provides a flow of the signaling messages and endpoints that participate in the call. This includes measuring call setup durations and providing a Call Detail Record (CDR) for each call.

Media Plane Analysis

The media plane analysis looks at the packet-level details of RTP and RTCP streams, and evaluates packet inter-arrival time, variation, packet loss, jitter and other parameters. Further, OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option identifies packets that cause problems like duplicate packets and out of sequence packets. OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option also provides non-intrusive voice quality monitoring by evaluating Mean Opinion Score (passive MOS) in real-time (based on the ITU standard).

VoIP Reports and Network Statistics

OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option aggregates statistics and measurements of all active sessions to give a complete picture of the VoIP network status. OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option provides the number of opened calls per signaling type, number of opened media channels and the network throughput of the RTP, RTCP and signaling links. It also reports statistics on jitter, packet loss, and bandwidth.

Subjective VoIP Quality - Variable Jitter Buffer Playback

In addition to objective VoIP measurements, OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option enables users to evaluate voice quality subjectively by using the call playback feature. This feature also allows users to vary the size of the jitter buffer. For instance, when capturing VoIP close to the listener, one can determine if a lower jitter buffer and thus lower delay in delivering voice to the handset, still delivers an acceptable level of quality.

Passive MOS, R-Factor and RTD Measurements

OmniPeek Workgroup with Enhanced Voice Option provides voice quality measurement over live calls for Passive MOS, R-Factor and RTD.
